The Victim Empowerment Program (VEP) provides free, confidential crisis assistance to FIU students who have been victimized by current or threatened violence. Trauma-informed licensed clinicians support the healing process of survivors of violence by providing information about treatment options, supporting advocacy and case management choices made by survivors, and offering a range of counseling services.

The program seeks to enhance student safety and promote healthy relationships by supporting university partners through awareness activities, prevention education, and collaboration with university officials. VEP integrates trauma-informed care principles in all aspects of our services.
